“My work is fuelling the measurement revolution.”
When did you start working for Digital i?
I was working for Digital i as a contractor from April 2020, but started my full-time role in September of the same year.
What do you like most about your job and why?
I am a sucker for a challenge. I love the ambitious specs that come to me. For example, when we first tried to measure Prime Video viewing I looked at the brief and thought, how the hell am I going to make this work? The feeling of euphoria when you finally push something to production and it achieves what you initially thought would be impossible is indescribable.
What are your career goals during your time with Digital i?
My ambition is to keep learning about the best practices for working with Big Data. Digital i gave me the initial step on to the ladder of my career and without this opportunity I don’t know if I’d be where I am now.
How are you forming part of the viewing revolution?
While the viewing revolution has really been taking hold, I’ve been bingeing coding tutorials and dedicating my evenings and weekends trying to perfect our measurement technology. I think I’m part of the measurement revolution, and I’m happy about it – I often use SoDA to decide what to watch on Netflix or Prime Video (and I know I’m not the only member of the team that does this).
Who would play you in the movie of your life?
The actor who plays the Professor in Money Heist.
